Kia's Shower #1

There aren't too many times I enjoy getting up before 7 am to drive to Seattle, but today I didn't mind. My mom and I headed out the door bright and early, stopped for coffee of course, and headed up to Seattle for Kia's first bridal shower. Allie, Robbie's sister and a bridesmaid, did a great job of hosting the big day. It was really nice to meet Robbie's big fat greek family (all 500 of them) and have a laugh or two. Here are some of the more memorable moments

Here is the winning dress in the toilet paper contest, honestly
how do you beat that?
The Bride and her Maid

Kia's soon to be mother in law in her tp gown, please notice
the 100 carat diamond the ladies created for her

Our dress was by far the worst, I have no future in dress making

My mom, Kia, and I with some of Robbie's family

I was helping Kia practice her vows, since I was almost as
tall as Robbie in those heels

The priceless face she made after seeing her first naughy item of the afternoon

Mother of the bride

It was a fabulous day, especially since the rain stayed away.
Her big day is now less than two weeks away.

The "Date"

I was asked out on a date by a beautiful woman last weekend. Now don't go thinking that.....I was asked on a date by my room-mate.
Place: Beckenridge Vineyard in Dallas, Oregon
Event :the Bradley wedding.
Melisa and I had such a fun time celebrating Cami and Brad's big day!! Great food, wine, and company. It inspired me to get back on the ball with my own wedding stuff.

Here are a couple pictures:

Imelda, Melisa and myself. I look sweaty for a reason....it was like 100 degrees.

The three of us with the beautiful bride.

4th of July 2007

Chris and I celebrated the 4th this year with a whole bunch of events....

1:00 pm Transformers Movie (which I highly recommend)
3:30 pm Shopping in Albany
7:00 pm BBQ with the David, David, and Zoe
10:00 pm Fireworks and a round of 10,000 (a dice game, which I also highly recommend)

Our Corvallis Family

We had a great time. I hope everyone enjoyed their Independence Day just as much.
